Balcraggon Accommodation is located in Stockinbingal, a small historic railway village of 244 people situated on the Burley Griffin Way, off the Hume Highway. It is 400 kms south west of Sydney, and 200 kms east of Griffith. Stock’ is the junction for train freight transportation from the west destined for Port Botany.

The village is located centrally to four interesting and historical country towns - Cootamundra, Temora, Young and Junee.

The village with its historic buildings, and the Stockinbingal Bowling Club are a pleasant and easy walk from the cabin. Meals are available at the club on Thursday and Friday nights and the bar opens from 5pm – 10 pm from Thursday to Saturday.
